ST. PETER — Discover 169 before the cars and trucks do at the Discover St. Peter Holiday Celebration.
Businesses on Nov. 14 will be hosting events and promotions as St. Peter celebrates a grand “pre-opening” of Highway 169.
The street will be open to foot traffic from the moment the first coffee shop opens until the last bar closes. Businesses will host Christmas carolers, a window Christmas decorating contest, sleigh rides, children’s matinee, games and attractions evening entertainment and more.

This event is designed to help businesses recover some of the lost revenue from the last several months and get the holiday shopping season off to a great start.
For questions call the St. Peter Area Chamber of Commerce or the City of St. Peter. If you want to plan an event, open house, entertainment or other promotion, it can be added to the calendar of events for the day.
Nov. 14, Open –Close: individual business promotions, sales & events
11 a.m.: Dignitary & Leadership recognition, awards, live radio
Noon –5 p.m.: Family Events
6 p.m. –close: Adult Events
Window Decorating Contest — Window and storefronts decorated for the holidays will be judged on Friday evening, Nov. 13. Prizes total $300 and multiple awards will be given to owners and employees. All businesses will be recognized for their participation.
